Developed by Luther Burbank, the Santa Rosa is the gold standard for California plums. The fruit features beautiful purplish-red skin and amber flesh that turns red near the skin. The flavor is perfectly balanced—sweet and extremely juicy, with a pleasant, slight tartness at the skin. It is self-fruitful and serves as an excellent pollinator for other Japanese plums.
